World War I Memorial, 1920 & 1957 This bronze version of the World War I Roll of Honor was dedicated on July 5, 1920. It was previously displayed on the south side of the old Town Hall building, but it was moved to this location in 1957 by the Windsor Holiday Observance Council. The names belong to those Windsor men who fought during the First World War. In 1988, the town replaced the boulder with another block of Connecticut granite. The original Roll of Honor was a painted wooden sign displayed next to the old Town Hall to honor the town's enlisted men and veterans. A second honor roll was created for World War II.
