Windsor artist Lon Pelton is well-known in Connecticut for his recycled scrap metal sculptures. Working with an unlikely assortment of metal pieces ranging from nuts and bolts to tractor parts, from silver spoons to discarded propane tanks, he crafts unique pieces which reflect his view of the world. Some of his sculptures offer political commentary and others convey a more whimsical delight in the natural world. Lon see both beauty and value in discarded objects. He is able to weave humor and passion into art which captivates viewers of all ages. Lon utilized fragments from the Windsor train wreck of 1975 to make this work of art.
