Anita and Champaben Patel Memorial, 1999

This stone was laid in memory of Champaben Patel, 54, and her daughter, Anita Patel, 32, who were murdered in 1996. Anita Patel had hopes of establishing a public Montessori school in Windsor for elementary-age children. Sadly, their murder remains an unsolved case, and Anita's dream for Montessori education for older Windsor students has not yet been realized. Copyright 2015 Windsor Historical Society.
