Town of Windsor Time Capsule, 1976During the Bicentennial of the founding of the United States of America, the Town of Windsor hosted a year's worth of celebrations and events. On September 26, 1976, the town capped off the year by also celebrating the Town's 343rd anniversary. Residents celebrated on the Palisado Green by placing objects into a time capsule which will not be opened until 2076. The Governor of Connecticut contributed an autographed copy of the state constitution. Copyright 2015 Windsor Historical Society.
