Capt. Thomas Allyn HouseThere is much controversy over the date of this house. Many believe the iron numerals over the door were transposed and instead of 1670 should be 1760. At this time no one knows the construction date of this house. It is made from local bricks and sits on what became known as "Dead Man's Curve" because of all the accidents that took place there. It is the oldest surviving masonry structure in town. © Windsor Historical Society.
