Deerfield World War II Honor RollIn 1944, the Deerfield Householders Club asked the Town for permission to build a globe-shaped honor roll and flag pole at the foot of this knoll. It would bear the names of the Deerfield men serving in World War II. The globe is composed of 144 separate, hand-carved blocks made by the men of the Householders Club at training classes and took 25 weeks to complete. Sidewalks and lighting were added later. © Windsor Historical Society.
